The Peg Leg Pub Band, gets together on a Wednesday evening for a few drinks, some conviviality, and, when they can fit it in between the hilarity, a practice session.
If you are feeling bored midweek and could do with some excitement, why not drop into the Black Horse for a drink on a Wednesday evening, between 6 and 9pm. There you can listen to us practicing. It won’t be perfect, but occasionally we get one right and you can be first to hear our newest material.
By cheering and clapping when you hear one you like, you can influence what we include in our sets.

Saturday, June 24th, 2023, turned out warm and sunny aqmd music enthusiasts and revelers gathered at the bustling Recreation Ground for a truly unforgettable musical experience. The event, featuring an eclectic lineup of talented artists, culminated in a mesmerizing headlining performance that left the audience in awe.
The melodies began to dance through the air as The Oakington Singers took the stage, their harmonious voices weaving a tapestry of captivating choral arrangements. Their renditions effortlessly transported listeners on a harmonious journey, setting the stage for a night filled with auditory wonders.
As twilight painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Dark Surrender commanded the spotlight with their electrifying performance. The fusion of rock and soul emanating from their instruments resonated with the crowd, creating an atmosphere charged with energy and passion. On the 29th of May 2023, bank holiday Monday, the Peg Leg Pub Band graced the pergola at the White Horse Pub in Oakington. It was a splendid day with the sun radiating its warmth upon the gathering. The air was filled with lively conversations and laughter as patrons relished the delightful selection of beers. The tantalizing aroma of a sizzling BBQ, offering mouthwatering hot dogs and hamburgers, further elevated the festive ambiance.
The band was in their element, delivering a captivating performance that had the crowd enraptured. They treated the audience to the debut of two new numbers, "Meet Me on the Corner" and "Day Trip to Bangor," adding a fresh and exciting element to their repertoire. The village residents were present in full support, their cheers and applause filling the air with enthusiasm.
Notably, the event drew attendees from far and wide, showcasing the band's appeal beyond the local community. Among the dedicated fans were Dave, Sue, and Matthew Smith, who embarked on a lengthy journey all the way from Fleet in Hampshire to witness the Peg Leg Pub Band's remarkable performance.
